Lie Detector is a Watch-only app from Sun Ryse Software LLC. Its personal readings and saved rounds are processed on your Apple Watch. There is no account, app server, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK.
Effective and last updated: September 19, 2026 · Covers the Watch-only release
The essential part
We do not receive your HealthKit readings, motion readings, or saved rounds. Sensor access is optional. The app does not determine whether you or anyone else is telling the truth, and does not diagnose stress.
1. Optional readings and moments
Heart rate. If you choose to allow it, the app requests read access to heart-rate samples in Apple Health through HealthKit. It never writes Health records. It can read samples available during a session and a recent reference for comparison. The optional “Last 15 minutes” feature reads the previous 30 minutes, dividing those readings into the period you review and the earlier reference period.
The app does not start a workout or force continuous optical-sensor recording. It does not keep a background sensor session running. Some sessions may have few or no readings; unavailable readings are not invented.
Motion. If enabled, the app uses accelerometer readings during the session to make a simple movement summary. The saved summary contains a sample count and average magnitude, not a raw motion recording. Movement does not establish a reason for a pulse change.
Moments you mark. You can answer or skip Hot Seat questions and mark a bluff, tension, or another moment yourself. These are your reports, not detected facts. The app does not record spoken answers, audio, video, or location.
2. What stays on your Watch
The app stores up to 30 recent rounds in its local history. Depending on the features you use, a saved round can include:
- Session dates and duration, heart-rate values and sample dates, source sample identifiers, and the reference readings used for comparison.
- A movement summary, answered-question count, and manually marked moments with their timing and question positions.
- The selected wearer and mode, descriptive status notes, and available start/end battery information.
The history directory is excluded from device backup. The app applies the operating system’s file protection to saved history. No app cloud account, server upload, or iPhone companion transfer is used in this Watch-only release.
Guest context. Guest sessions use a fresh reference instead of the usual wearer’s recent history. To reduce mixing readings from different people, the app stores a small separate guest-use timestamp or an indication that the Watch has not yet been confirmed back with its usual wearer. Recent guest use temporarily blocks historical comparisons and lookback. This marker remains when you clear history; removing the app removes its local app data.
Wearer choices are supplied by you. The app does not identify a person or verify who is wearing the Watch.
4. Your controls and deletion
- Use the app without readings. Heart-rate and motion features are optional and can both be switched off.
- Change Health access. Use Apple’s Health or Privacy settings to change the app’s permission. Previously saved app rounds remain until you delete them.
- Delete a round or clear history. Use History in the app. This removes the app’s saved rounds, not the original samples in Apple Health. The separate guest-use marker described above remains.
- Remove all local app data. Delete the app from your Watch. This does not delete Apple Health records or a message you already shared with someone.
Because saved readings and rounds are local, Sun Ryse cannot retrieve or delete them remotely. You can contact us about information you have voluntarily sent to support.
5. This website and support email
This website is separate from the Watch app. It is a static site hosted by Cloudflare Pages. We have added no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, external fonts, cookies, or contact forms. Cloudflare processes network request information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and protect the website. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its practices.
If you email support, we and our email service providers receive the information you send, including your email address and message. We use it to respond and handle the issue. Please leave out health readings and private answers unless they are necessary to explain the issue. Support email is not part of the app’s local-only storage.
We keep support correspondence as needed to handle the request, maintain relevant business records, or meet legal obligations. Contact us to request access to or deletion of information you sent us, subject to those obligations. We do not add support senders to a marketing list automatically.
6. Changes and contact
We will update this page and its date if these practices change. This policy describes the Watch-only release being prepared for the App Store.
